Suleiman Ogajjo the Mbale resident district commission has identified Bubyangu as the leading sub-county in the district with high cases of early teenage regencies.
While speaking to residents at Bubyangu sub-county head offices, Ogajjo says that according to the report he has at his office every month over ten girls drop out of schools in the sub-county after being pregnant.
He attributes the increase to negations between defiler and girl side rather than reporting the matter to police which he condemned.
Abudu Magidu Busito the LCIII chairperson of Bubyangu Sub County says that they need collective efforts between parents, government and stakeholders to stop such acts in the area.
He threatened to arrest any person who will be found negotiating money for defilement cases since its illegal.
However, he urged parents to stop the ancient way of thinking but prioritize girl child education such that they can transform their societies.
