Ak47 Gun Recovered In Sironko As Another Goes Missing At IUIU

Police in Sironko has recovered AK47 gun with an empty magazine which was stolen last month at the Buyobo police post by unknown people.

Robert Tukei the police spokesperson at the Elgon sub-region told our reporter that the gun was discovered at Rogers Madoyi’s home from Bushikori village Bukhulo parish Bukhulo Sub County in Sironko district.

He adds that the gun has been used by Rogers Madoyi from Sironko and William Odongo from the Bukedea district to terrorize people during night time.

Tukei also adds that the two are currently on the run but police are hunting them to be arrested and answer charges of illegal possession of the firearm.

Isaac Lulabto police the resident district commissioner of Sironko has urged the general public to help security by reporting the two to the police or local leaders wherever they will be seen such that they can be arrested.  

in a related development, Police in Mbale has embarked on investigations under how an AK47 gun was grabbed by unknown people who attacked guard at Islamic university in Uganda main campus.

Robert Tukei the Elgon region police spokesperson says that unknown thugs attacked last week the guard with the intention of taking away the gun.

He also urged the public to help police by reporting anybody that will be seen with a gun or in case they see the gun dumped at any place.

He adds that police are still searching for the grabbed gun and the suspects such that they can recover it and arrest them to face laws.
